Hi Matt

Its hard to judge but it looks about stock depth compared to the headers. Maybe they could make a short version for all us guys, we should all bombard them with requests?

Hi,

still have the mould for the flat sump and still have the parts for sale.

Many discussions here in the forum, but nobody comes to an end.

Don´t mind sending to Australia.

Hi Last time this came up you said " dealer for the conversion parts might be, that there is a well known dealer selling my products in AUS in the near future. Would like to know your opinion on it?
Who would buy then?

I said,
Im interested, depends on pricing with your local dealer."

So whats the go,

So, fact is, that the trader who was interested now obstains from doing something.
Still am looking for a dealer for my products. Freight is not that much. Can send upto three sumps in one package. Costs are 82 Euro for such a package (takes 1-2 weeks).
Price will be without German VAT (250 Euro each).

Perhaps two or three of you make a centralised buying.

Can´t do more at the moment.

have i got the right page??? blame google translate for dodgy text....

Already before approx. 10 years it was clear for us that the evolution of the WBX engine could be actually only OHC oHC-oder the DO HC-double-piston engine of the Japanese manufacturer Subaru. After 100.000 km with a Legacy, even driven, one at that time already wished oneself this everyday life-suited and matured engine into the own 1303.

Image At that time before the change it back-frightened that there were still too few specialists for things such as expanders and adapted wiring harnesses. Fortunately there is further idealists, which recognized that the Subaru subaru-Boxer reliably 100mal better the beetle fits, than any row engine (even if it originates from the house VOLKSWAGEN). It formed its own small scene, which concerns itself with the production of special parts and the installation of these engines. Since with all changes seen so far deep, optically extremely unattractive, or shortened oil pan had held from the installation of a "Subaru", one took forwards for remedy to provide itself. Due to earlier model construction amateur driving and other cast parts a 2-piece oil pan from aluminum casting developed.

This tub is 5 cm flatter than the original and permits oil contents of 4,25 litres. Most shortened oil pans are about 3,5 litres of volume. The tub has cooling fins on the lower surface, those the engine also from down revaluations. The main use of the ribs is however the substantially reduced heat development in the engine. Tests at a turbo engine with plentifully HP, built into 1303 brought the result that the water temperature sank at first attempt by 10 degrees. Inside 2 bulkheads are trained, which prevent a way sloshing of the oil in fast driven curves. The cultivation is absolutely problem-free, since all drillings of the original were taken over. The original dipstick can be re-used. Shortening the original oil sucking in pipe is not large history and can by us be taken over if necessary.

Subaru Oelwanne

* 4.25 litres of oil amount of filling
* 12 cm overall height
* reduced heat development
* Bulkheads
* easy assembly
* optical revaluation

Price:
295 euro

Supply takes place including the necessary socket head screws

The thing is...there are not that many of us actually driving around on suby vw's. The ones that are, either are not that worried or have already done something about it. It is just interesting to see what products are out in the market place and their pricing.

For me, $600++ for a sump on a motor that costs $800, that I do not really need is not an option. However If a cast alloy sump like yours was available for $350 I might get it.

Your other parts look really good, although due to the amount of worked wrx's here, there is alot of competition and parts are relatively cheap.

Boofy.

OK, at 250 Euro each and 82 Euro postage for 3 that makes 832 euro landed for 3. At the current exchange rate (1 Eu = $1.59) that's $1323 AUD, so $441 each.

Like Matt said, if they were about $350 each then I'd probably get one as well.

My calculations were a bit off, thanks for the official conversion Jenny...would have to not insure them, send them express and make the cost under $200 total otherwise they will look them up and charge another 13% gst and import duty. Adds another $50 roughly.

I havnt looked under the 914 yet, although I think the mid mount is quite high.

lI look at it this way: you're skimping 60 or 80 bucks on a complete conversion that will cost maybe $5K? And risking your engine?

I just bought the metal to build my own sump, it cost $39.50 all up & thats cut to my measurements!
Fantastic!
In saying that, those sumps look excellent, but most of us are doing the conversions on a budget, so when my engine cost $850, theres no wayI'm spending half that on a sump.

oilsump aluminium cast

ok guys,

make a suggestion.

The first two private person, who make a centralized order for each one oilsump will get my sumps for 320 AUS Dollar each plus freight. Based on the current exchange rate it is 200 Euro. The order for 2 sumps must come by mail. I need your address for the invoice. Payment is in advance.
You have to arrange on your own, with whom you order and how you clearify it with money. I want to have the money for 2 sumps plus freight in my bank account and don´t want to care for this at all.
I want to show you guys how a good oilsump is looking and want to get into your market. That´s the reason for the price.
Once more: The price is only for this first order of 2 sumps.

72RSbug,
I just got a ej20tt in a 914..went to talk about the turbos to the guys at MRT and they told me to throw away the twin set up...constant computer problems and massive lag on the transition from turbo to turbo. The only aftermerket ecu set up is about $5000 and they have only found one that will do it properly...prob motec.

I am consideriing keeping twin set up although haveing them the same size and independant like 996..with twin intercoolers.
