pre 67 chrome strips on late bugs

can these be fitted without drilling new holes? or do the old holes have to be made bigger? or do you have to braze them up and put new holes in?

would like thick trims on my late bug

ive done this on my 71super,i just got the clips for the early chrome, and drilled 7mm holes.doors and back fit fine, but the early front chrome strips were a bit short for the super body, so had to modify some early back pieces to fit the front

No Damien, the supers are different, and have different front guards too.....
You May be able to fit the original early chrome strips on the 1500 beetle....
I believe the early strips were actually stainless steel wheras the late ones were aluminium....

cheers
