I assume you are after a sender for a gauge and not a switch...
I think they come in 500kpa and 1000kpa range and must be matched to the gauge you are using. Most engines will be the 500kpa unless they have a high
volume oil pump fitted. Hope this helps.

Sorry to highjack with a dumb question but:
I've got VDO oil pressure and temp gauges in the kombi ('74, 1800 motor) but they dont work, where would I find the sender(s), assuming there are
any, so that I can wire them up?

depends on how the people have installed the senders... the usual spot for the oil sender is on the left hand side of the motor. the oil pressure
switch should already be installed there and you can get adapters to screw both the switch and the sender into the same take off point of the motor.
then just run the wire(s) to the dash. The temp one it will depend again where they put it. some pull out the sump plug and screw a sender in there.
there may be a few other places to put them too. you'll just have to have a look at the motor and see if you can find them.
