I used a wire brush, the type you put into a power drill, made short work of it... wear a mask!.. (this will also work with the BOG on the car)

Yeah similar to what warb said, except I use a wire cup on a grinder.
If it is jammed into little crevices, load in some heavy paint stripper... it'll turn the bog to paste.
Wear a mask and other gear when using the wire cup, it gets in your mouth, eyes, ears, next door neighbours kitchen window, over the just hung out
washing ... everywhere.

sounds to me like youve got yourself in trouble before HRM, sounds good, i shall try both and use which ever works best
