what tyres for my baja???(got some)
just as the title says, what tyres are best suited for most surfaces, i had bridgestone A/T's on and they were to soft and i am looking at kellys
A/T range as they are a good price the bloke i use for all my tyres says the coopers are the best A/T's out there... what do u all think? it has
10's on the back but i am changing to 8's will that make much difference in what brand to use???
any help would be great as i dont want to spend 400/600 buck on tyres to find out that are shite... i will be useing the baja mostly on dirt and the
roads. it will go on sand but not as much as i have bush all round me to play in...

I use and recommend Desert Duellers in the 634 pattern. I knwo what you say in your post but you did ask.
I have run Desert Duellers on my Buggy, Kombi, 4WD and Baja and can not rave enough about the quality and grip for am AT. The proof is on a few Buggy
Video and you will see I get further than all the people running mud tyres and the likes.
The Desrt Dueller is not agresive and it will last 100 000 km easy and gives off bugger all if any road noise.
The Coopers are a more agresive tyre but they chunk out easy.

its cool brad, this is just the feed back i want, i wasnt sure about the coopers, they look great but the are very aggresive in the patten and from my
bike riding days i know how they can chunk out and tear...
.. anyone else have any suggestions?

Thats because you are travelling twice as fast as everyone else!!!!
I have Coopers on my 4Wd and they a tearing lugs off everytime we go out 4wdriving, I will not be putting them on anything again(unless they change
them).
I have Goodyear MTR's on my Buggy, they work well on the beach and in the Mud, But as Brad said he does go all the same places! The buggies are very
light so the AT tyres perform equally as well as sometimes a little wheelspin is good.
Just my thoughts.
Ohh don't beleive everything that is written on tyres....

I've run dunlop major RV's, dueller 604V's, BFG mudders and MTR mudders.
I found both mudders were obviously much better in the mud and really are quite amazing how much better than AT's they are when the going gets
slippery. My mudders also get alot more grip on grassy surfaces.
I reckon the BFG's were slightly more agressive than the MTR's and bit in a little more.
Mudders steer worse on the road, but aren't as bad as they are on 4wd's.
I say mudders if you can afford them, AT's if you can't.

i would recommend wrangler mtrs or bfg muddies any day, we run 33x10 muddies on our fourby and besides the road noise we have never had any
complaints, only praise.
the mtrs are just fabulous for rock crawling, sand driving, essentially mid range terrain. i was navigator for my mate when he ran his rock crawling
buggy on mtrs, they kept pace and grip with monsters running baja claws and super swampers. an ace tire no doubt.

after looking and asking a million questions about which ones to go for i finaly went for kelly safari msr's . heard lots off good things about
them so only time will tell if they work well on the baja.... to those who gave opions and advice.. thank u.. it was all taken on board.... i had no
plans for havinga muddie of any type i though an a/t was the way to go... ahhh how little i knew :P

the size are 30 by 9.5 15's, the rims are stockys widened to 10's
fitted them to the car and i am most pleased with the over all fit and look..
its starting to look like car again YAYAYAY
