Servicing in Sydney

Evening all,

In the old forum there was a post by a lady in Sydney who wrote something along the lines of getting exceptionally bad service from two places in Sydney i.e. ripped off and repeatedly having to take her VW back.

The threads to follow were mainly about trying to establish the names of those places but in the interest of diplomacy (and avoiding litigation?) I don't think the places were actually named.

Anyway from what I could gather a number of people emailed the lady directly with suggestions on places to get servicing in Sydney and places to avoid like the plague.

So as not to stir the boat, if you feel inclined could you email me on the places to avoid. I've had heaps of recommendations on places to go, a few names cropping up repeatedly so they must have good reputations but what I'm really interested in is places NOT to go so I don't fall into any traps.

My email is kom123@optushome.com.au

Many thanks in anticipation of emails:)

well we openly discussed the names of the places. VW country which used to be at blacktown. From what i recall they asked for $3500 to do a total brake rebuild! I have dealt with VW country for warranty work, they installed a helicoil when i pulled a headstud without splitting case and when they installed the engine back in the engine seal rubber was just left flapping in the wind as well as setting my timing to 0 TDC. That is just my experience with them.
