I am selling my '75 L-Bug:
It is stock-as-a-rock factory standard. That means:
* Curved windscreen
* Strut front end/IRS rear
* Rack and pinion steering
* 1600DP engine with alternator
* Wattle Yellow paint
* Indicators in front bumper
The car is very tidy, with its yellow paint in nice condition. Yes, there are a couple of faded bits, dents and scratches - but that is typical for a
30-year-old car that has had - as far as I know - just two owners before me.
According to the previous owner, the engine was rebuilt in 2000. Like the rest of the car, it is standard, right down to its 34 carby, proper ignition
leads and pea-shooter exhaust. It starts easily, doesn't blow smoke and cruises happily all day at 110km/h.
Tyres (Hankook/Michelin 165s) have plenty of tread.
I have thoroughly enjoyed driving this car for the last few months and have racked up more than 2000km of town and country driving with no dramas.
Carpets, seats, headlining are all in reasonable condition, although the dash is cracked under a carpet cover. The glovebox latch is broken and the
radio is stuffed!
Rego until November WZD107. $3500 as is, or $4000 with 12 months NSW rego (from November) which I will put on the car at sale. I will listen to offers
- but keep it sensible as for that kinda money, I am happy to park it next to my other toys and crooz it once a month...nn[ Edited on 3-9-2005 byVWCOOL ]nn[ Edited on 6-9-2005 by VWCOOL ]nn[ Edited on 6-9-2005 by VWCOOL ]nn[ Edited on 24-9-2005 by VWCOOL ]
