thanks Dave,

I've got an offer from a person in Melb , from the Aust. T3 Syncro news group, I want them to convert to 15" rims, so I'm also considering T4 transporter rims and having the offset reset.

I'll keep yours in mind,

Steve.

I've got Merc. rims on it, the problem is that the offset is wrong, ET 49 and it should be ET 27 to maintain the correct geometry, it scrubs the edge off the front tyres, I've had 3 different front end alignment 'specialists' align the front end. At $210. a tyre (BFG AT's) I want to make it right.

Also the merc rims are machined for 12mm studs and the Syncro has 14mm studs, so where the wheel nut touch the rims its only on a very narrow band rather than completely mating.

Is there a Syncro wrecker at Bribie Is. somewhere?

The merc rims on my syncro I bought off Hamish,he has a syncro panel that he converted to 16".gearing,decoupler diff locks etc., He had no problems with the merc rims and I havent either. The tyres wear even and it drives exellent on them with 225 70 profile tyres. I want to put 15' fuch replicas on mine, they just bolt on .Have you looked at the brickyard forum in the UK? There is a, what wheels fit thread, plenty of pics and advice. The other option is to have wheels made, they are not expensive, sunraisier type wheels, any offset you want .Yes there is a guy on Bribie that only deals with syncros. He had an add in the trading post last month, will try and find it. He has 3 or 4 that are being wrecked.
