1776 Turbo engine 4 sale
I am advertising this for a friend,
It is a rebuilt 1776 engine, new everything except for case, which is a mint thin stud AD case, standard cam, German lifters, Male piston and barrels,
VW 040 heads. comp is 6.9 to 1. it has all the tinware, exhaust with muffler, Weber DMTT blow-through turbo carb, Modified distributor for retard
under boost. IHI RHB5 turbo, pod air filter, Saab Intercooler, blow off valve, Bosch fuel pump, Malpassi boost sensative fuel regulator. everything is
there to bolt this into your car. all the hard work has been done, There is over 30 hours work in the pipe work alone!!
At the moment it is set up on a stand so you can see it run.
The engine has been run in only and not been driven on the street since being built. It is built to last and is an ideal street package, Quiet,
economical (28 to 30mpg highway) and quick, I ran the same setup over the 1/4 at 14 sec @101 MPH in a full weight car with street tyres.
To fit this to a Beetle a couple of holes need to be cut into the bottom of the parcel tray for the turbo and the intercooled, and a 2nd fuel line
needs to be run back to the fuel tank for the fuel return.
