Woo Hoo !! - Got a Beetle at last.
Got a Beetle today at last. Straight swapped it for my 68 Morris Mini. I reckon I got the better deal. Now the fun starts.

Is it a 58? What year?
Reminds me of cars that ate paris!

According to the Rego papers it's a '62. The car was repainted and modified about 13 years ago by the previous owner to the one I bought it from.
The bootlid has a lever in the cabin to open it so no handle.
It needs more chromework. The plan is to strip the paint off the headlight surrounds and change the running boards. Apart from that, there is
virtually no rust to speak of and only the usual oil leaks to look at.
The only things that need to be fixed immediately are the horn and the accelerator pedal.
The linkage from the pedal to the floor doesn't work. I had a go at it tonight but no good.
I'm still getting used to having it in the garage. Cant wait for summer to cruise in it now but I will miss the German day this weekend as I'm going
away.
More pics to come when I get home early enough to take them in the daylight.
