FS - 2 bugs in East Sydney

Advertised for 3rd party..
Currently sitting behind a shop in Oxford Street, these two lovely ladies have seen better times.. Both are still ruuning though and they come with one spare engine. Great project vehicles for a start up VW enthusiast and priced well to sell!!!

Take one or take both.. Here is the quote from the owner who wants them taken by a VW carer..

Orange is a VW L and blue/yellow is VW S, Unregistered as is where is.
Plus spare engine complete. Both running..

U2U Rob in the first instance
$800 for one or take them both for $1400

The 2 tone looks 76 - big tail lights, narrow nose, flat screen

but the other i an guessing is a 72?? - a 1302 anyway.
High front end (struts) small tail lights and a flat screen (cant see the dash)

Looks like a Britax sun roof??

You're probably right.. I am not a beetle whiz (in fact I have a 67 sitting in my driveway also that is for sale if anyone wants it)..

Both of these cars are runners by the way.. They could be back on the road with a bit of TLC

I went and looked at these bugs today.. It is honestly sad to see two bugs sitting rotting.. I reckon they are both saveable.. the two tone (74) seems to be in better nick but the orange one (76) has a neat fold back factory roof in it.. APPARENTLY THEY BOTH RUN!!

The owner needs to clear them out pretty soon.. He is going to call in the scrap dealer.. I told hime to be realistic on price and got him down to $500 with one spare motor thrown in.. THAT IS FOR BOTH!!!

If I had a big shed or acreage, I'd grab them both.. At least just to save them.. I don't I'm afraid and so hope that someone on here can part with the cash and pick them up..

Anycase.. I've pushed them... All I can do.. The 74 has wide stock rims and the 76 has mags..

Cheers

Unfortunately, the guy these bugs belonged to missed a few calls from interested AVD members. His Dad died a few days after this post started and wasn't around for a while.. Anycase Doug is back at work and still keen to offload these asap.. Call him, take a look, negotiate.. Both very goods resto's..

Hi

They look like 1300 Beetles to me, swing axles, drum brakes & 1300 CC twin port motor. If the 2 tone one was a 76 it would have blinkers in the front bar. Any bug that gets saved from the crushers is a good thing, like water front land, they dont make anymore them.

Spot on Steve, I looked and they are both 1300 swingers, not '76ers. Both are parts cars only, I'm afraid...
