Thank you every one for the positive comments!
The old record was 105.77mph.
ANDRA records can only be set at designated meetings, of which
there are only two up here at Willowbank in the year.
You must produce two runs under the record,
and one of those must be in eliminations.
There are some other technicalities, but in general the runs
must be within 1% of each other.
Also the minimum weight for this class (ALL MOTOR) the
car must weigh more than 795kg and my car was 820 on the day.

Since the forum has moved to a different server and the Post " the dave butler story " is gone I thought I'd post it up here . Im still curious
about your dual supercharger set up , especially on the 1776 motor .
What convinced you to run dual superchargers ? Whas it a steep learning curve ? How did you stop the head studs from pulling out ? How much boost were
you running ?

I only ever ran one supercharger on my 1775cc engine
and it was an old and inefficient Godfrey roots style thing.
It still had 28psi though.
Still using the same blower and over drive I progressed up
in size over a five year period to 2918cc(101.6x90) still
type 1 but with Pauter case.
It was at this point with only 15psi (10.2's) that I bought
the two Autorotor blowers. At the time I couldn't
purchase one unit that was large enough for my plans.
This combo with 42psi and 10:1 was a Carrillo breaker.
Anyhow I went to a 2827cc combo with AF bugpack
heads, and in that trim it ran 9.76@146.9mph.
In the tube car I did run 2965cc with Pauter case and
heads, but never got a full power pass. 6.19@116 on
the 1/8 milewas its best.
With correct tuning to prevent detonation, the headstuds will stay put.
Yes, the learning curve was steep and expensive, but an experience worth every cent.
The project was madness!

I'll buy you a beer next time your in Sydney . You got courage to run such boost on an aircooled engine .
How did you work out your ignition timing ?
How much fuel did it use ? What carby / injection did you use ? How did you seal the barrels onto the heads ?

Through trial and error I ended up with 24 degrees total timing. Would prob run less now.
It used about 8 litres of methanol per run.
I used mechanical injection which I flow
tested using a milling machine's variable
spindle speed.(driving the pump).
It flowed 3litres in 10sec @ 7000rpm.
The barrels are held onto the heads with 10mm
studs of 4340material.There are two extras
(above and below) for a total of 6 per cylinder.
No gasket was used most of the time, but did
try copper which worked well when I dropped
the comp ratio.

Will My Record be Gone Today?
Well today in Sydney is another event where the Honda
may take both ends of the record, so here is a look at the certificate before it is old history.

New Wheels
Here is some wheels I just got.
On the drive home I think I will slice them up and make them 4" on the front, and widen to 7 or 8" on the rear.
They are 15 x 6" now.
