well if you have an international drivers lisc-then hire a light commercial(dont bother hiring a car if you want to tow a trailer) and a trailer and
tow it yourself..
personally if its got a overseas current rego
id go into the nearest rta(roads and traffic authority)
get an unregistered permit for it(around 90 bucks aust)
a blue slip inpection(which judgding by the photos would be a cakewalk!!)
then drive it up
or find a friendly mech with a maveric ticket that would drive it up for you ;-)

BY contacting the NSW state rego office, (Roads and Traffic Authority or RTA http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au ) you can source a one-day permit to drive it home yourself!! Seen plenty of Rollers, Benzes and
Beemers driving around with UK plates

I don't know how much one-day rego is in NSW, but here in ACT it's only $27 which is peanuts... and no inspection needed! You just walk into any
rego office with the car's details, hand over the cash, and they give you a one-day rego certificate for whatever date you want. Then you drive it
yourself, all legal, and you're also covered by the compulsory third party insurance. What could be easier or cheaper than that?

Try 6124 925 1805 , thats the international number for the roads and traffic authority Sydney, they should be able to help you out. Don't forget you
are going to have to call during Sydney Working hours

Your request has been posted on a NSW Towing Forum...
If you are still interested I will advise you of the result...
Sorry I did not contact you sooner, but I don't come on here often...
(I own a towing company in Perth so if you ever decide to come over to the "Sunny Side" of the country, I'll be there to help you out)..
:thumb
I hate to admit it, but man, I think you're right....
