Chassis Dyno/Weight/Mph comparisons
I am interested to know who has chassis dynoed their car
and then taken it to the drags and got a MPH.
It is going to take some people to guess their weight I guess.
My car weighed 830kg and ran 114.77mph and with that combo,
had 177hp@6200 at the wheels, corrected for temp of 22 degrees C.
(no other corection data used on this dyno).
More fuel system tuning improved that to 188hp@6700.What will it run?

Latest dyno run was 238HP @ rw/6200 rpm and the following Wednesday a best of 11.6 @ 125 MPH.
780 kg race weight, that's 1/2 fuel and me @ 69 kgs.
The drag coefficent of the Spyder is quite low as compared to a beetle, somewhere between 0.290 and 0.310

Well, I guess the weather has more to do with it than I thought, because the ET was way- better but the MPH was not as good as my best(but close).Half
track was better though.
Although, by the track weather station, the difference between my two best MPH's was about 1500ft of relative altitude.
I will keep plugging away to optimise the combo.

Hey Pete, what revs were you shifting at with that 6200rpm peak?

From the few examples that I have info for,
you can add around 12% and then us the formula to calculate the speed you will run
at the track.
MPH=234 X cubed root of (HP divided lbs)
So if your car weighed say 1850lbs(841kg)
and you made 143 wheel HP (160 engine)
it equals 103.5 mph ....depending on weather.
Anyone tried this info?

Latest run with 188rwhp shows about 215 to 220fwhp with the formula.
This is with 1807lbs and 115.95mph.
