Preview Of Issue#8

Hello Everyone,

A preview of Issue #8 of VW Magazine Australia is now up on the web:

http://www.vwma.net.au

The classified section will be added closer to the issue release.

Issue#8 will go on sale Friday November 4th. I'll have discounted copies for sale at the VW Shootout in Sydney on November 6th.

This is a Karmann special celebrating 50 years of Karmann-Ghia.

Cheers
Craig

Classifieds

The updated classifieds section is now up and running on the VWMA website.

These are newbies, so web users get first bite of the cherry before the magazine comes out at the end of the month.

With the All German Day re-scheduled for this Sunday 30th October, I will now have available For Sale on the day a limited number of advance copies of the latest issue#8 - and they'll be at a discounted show price.

I won't have a Trade Stall setup as I'll only be there for a couple of hours, but you'll either find me with my twin cab or otherwise I'll be wearing a large VWMA bucket hat and shirt and probably taking happy snaps. See you there.

The following weekend I'll be driving down to Sydney for the Flat 4 All VW Shootout and I will be setup as a Trade Stall. Special discounted show price once more and a limited number of Issue#8.

Last week I was at the International Motor Show for the unveiling of the all new Polo Gti. Here is a sneak preview. It's basically a freeze dried version of the Golf Gti, except no DSG, 6 speed box or diesel options. I'll have a review in Issue#9 for 2006.

Does this mean subscribers can expect to see it in their mailboxes in the next couple of days?

I can't wait. Looking forward to it.

Yes, all subscriptions, including international, were lodged today. Most should arrive this week. Regional and SA/WA/TAS early next week.

Bought my copy on Friday and low and behold there right in front of me was my Old Mans crusty old 72 Poptop Kombi (two different shades of white and about 4 different shades of grey primer) not once but twice in the spread on the Old Bar Kombi Record Attempt.
I always thought I would be the one from the family to have a Volkswagen in a Magazine.
Another dream shattered.
Good issue though and thanks for the coverage of the weekend.
Cheers
Brendan

yeh caravan park between show & beach a good spot
i passed about a dozen on the way down to old bar, considering that there
would be more than enough in nsw alone to smash lets say 500 record im
surprised at the small turnout(maybe the $2.00 trophys might make a difference)
you hear it all the time no trophy no show what a load of ego crap.
brendan we will be there again in the 64 & the 74 & if our daughter has her licence
by then maybe even another one.
it was a great weekend all in all
cheers wally

Hey Craig,

you've totally outdone yourself with the latest edition. Chunky, nice paper, great articles, and most of all - lots of KG's!

This one is a keeper.
