I asked Peter (Modulus) about this a while ago... the exact post dissappeared with the crash a few weeks ago, but if I recall it went something to the
effect of AKC's future is not cemented in concrete as it's purpose is largely being fullfiled by other sites such as Kombi Club Australia, The
Baywindow Mafia, Lowlightlife, Peoplewhoweartheirhatssidewaysanddrive'67panels???? (:duh ) etc etc, hence making the cost associated with rebooting
and maintaining the site less justifiable.
Personally, regardless of the existance of KC, BWM, DSK, Lowlightlife etc, I still think the AussieKombiCampers site was a valuable resource, so
should be maintained to supplement the above sites... KC and BWM are good, but they do not entirely fill AussieKombiCamper's shoes.
