VW gearbox specialist?


Need to get the 1800 kombi box recoed before it goes into the buggy, anyone have any reccomendations for somewhere in Newcastle (or at worst Sydney)?

Ben recommended Shimmo whoever that is! Ben is by far my first choice for VW help in Newcastle, he's helped me out a lot over the years.

Yes, could cost more if major parts need replacing.
Will have to wait 'till it's apart to assess.
Remember that tranny is over 30 years old.

Our 2litre box cost $1500 to get all new bearings, sychros and a crown & pinion gearset for the diff.
