wheel alignment


anyone know a place i cna get my 75 kombi a wheel alignment near browns plains or anywhere on the southside of brissie? i was under the impression normal places (eg: bob jane type places) arn't much good for old VW's???

Try hank shcumaker steering and suspension on i think industry road. Knows old acrs, does a good job. I used to go to him but getting time off from work at toowong and getting to brownsplains and back is hard.

Have you trailing arm and steering rod Ball Joints tested and checked for wear before you spend the money on getting your wheel alignment

Hank will normally tell you if they are worn send you away to get new ones, without charging. Hes normally pretty good.

yeah thats good if he does that but to change the trailing arm ball joints you have to remove the trailing arm and use a 25 ton press to push them out n re fit the new joints.

I just had one done on my Daughters Fastie at
Bridgestone Tyre Centre Geebung on the corner of Newman Rd & Prosperity Place. He has been doing VW's for years . We very happy with the job done it the best the fastie has driven for a long while, and they do it at a good price $39.90.

thanks for the replies people.trailling arms are fine as i just had the ball joints on passenger side replaced and had the drivers side given the OK. will check steering rod ball joint before hand. that place at geebung sounds good also. thanks alot.
