T25 Auto trans issues

can anyone please tell me if the Audi 200 trnas is the same as the T25 ? apparentley they are a stronger box and exactly the same externally .
any other suggestions?
The v6 is putting out a bit too much torque for the standard trans.

kurt the audi 200t auto box is the required up date for the increased torque due to the v6 conversion..oettinger used this gearbox on all their up grades including the flat 6 which I have in a t25 d/cab....the main difference is the number of clutch packs ..200t runs more of them to overcome the dredded slippage ..81-82 200t are a little rare but not impossible to locvate here cheers hope this clears up your question..steve

Hi

If you haven't already make sure you replace the water 2 oil cooler on the trans, they will corrode and then fill the trans with coolant.

yes i have removed the water coolant pipes and run a aftermarket cooler with fan also.

there is obviously many mods to be done to these trannies. need to choose the right model apparently there are several types, is this correct?

The later model you can find would be better , the bod point in them all is the spider gears , oild is thrown out and the ware them selfs out , drilling the oil holes help also over filling the diff section via a pump & header tank .

I have a ej20 fitted to a type three box , The only thing I have changed is extra clutch pack .I have not followed any of you other posts , fill me in what you are doing .

ej20 T your running ?
