Hey Dave,
It was a spare engine l had lying around. A T4 draw through with a Holley 600cfm.
Berg 69 crank, 42x37.5 heads ported by us (Vollkommen Art) and Autocraft 1.4 roller ratio rockers. 165kw @ the wheels on 19 psi.
Stock 1st and 2nd ratios with a 1.56 3rd and 1.14 4th.
I only raced the car once as it was a street car did NOT have a rear end that works as you can tell by the 1.9103 60ft time.
Crossing the line just under 6000 rpm.
12.49 @ 114.62mph
I am guessing the car weighs about 870kg

I call it a pro streeter because I dont want people to start with the street car crap. It is still reged and is a true pan car with std rear
suspension. It is not a race car but I have done things to ANDRA specs.
I 'll take it out in about 3 weeks.

290 kw @ the wheels on 26psi
but only ran 19 psi to go 128mph
I was driving it easy not wanting to break anything,
having troubles getting 3rd with the vertical
 shifter.
Some rod adjusting I think?
A few more mods including bigger injectors and maybe an intercooler.

Thanks guys,
Not that great though, my driving sucked and I was still having shifter problems.
I had to fatten it up to stop it wheel spinning in 4th on the day, but some rear end adjustments will cure that.
That's the problem with a heavy "street car" some ladder bars would slash those e.t.'s. Ohhhhh not going to happen.

Hi Nick,
Dave Stokers drag car uses an inline shifter and had problems with the long shift rods flexing.
Those shifters are designed to use a much shorter shift rod.
He ended up filling the tube with a solid rod, but a better solution would be some eliptical tubing,
with the largest diameter in the vertical plane to resist sag.
Tube adapters are available from Chassis shop, and the likes, so a very sanitary fabrication job can be done
...would look pretty cool too!
Some times a heavy clutch disc can show up shift problems at the track that never appear on the street.
The synchros dont like to control the mass. 4 puck 200mm disc should be your maximum disc weight (I use 3puck 180mm)

New injectors needed, 4x750cc injectors maxed out.
Rear end mods have been done to improve the 60f
and the shifter modified to work properly.
Now back to the dyno, keep you guys posted in a few weeks.

Hey guys,
Dynoed on Friday. Not good.
Installed 4 new Siemends 910 cc injectors.
Installed a new MSD DIS 4 ignition unit.
Started trimming the fuel map, and it had an erratic ignition miss.
Disconnected the MSD with no change. Reconnected the MSD, no change. Ramped it up again this time it reved up to 5500 rpm and made 135 rwkw on 9 psi
and then missed.
Let it cool and checked tapets,plugs, gaps,and changed the water in the intercooler.
Turned the boost up to 20 psi and played with the dwell settings for the ignition, with some
improvement in response but still a miss, now at various inconsistent rpm. It sounds like a rev limiter is on or a boost cut but I turned them all
off. I think an internal igniter in the Microtech is faulty. The best power was at 5800 rpm 217 rwkw for a very disappointing day.
Not impressed, Motech is looking better and better.

Don't do anything too radical Nick!
Most times my ignition probs were either fuel related or low battery power.
One time I had 12 volts but no amps...damn power switch was faulty(choroded)
and as soon as engine had load, it missed. OK in burnout.
I have heard that Microtech has good guys in customer service.
Motech is brilliant, but probably over kill to find a fault.

Hi Nick.
Dwell settings are irelivent with the MSD DIS4. Provided you've got 2ms charge and discharge times it takes care of the rest. It might be your signal
polarity though, as the ECU's often provide a +5 or +12 output signal thats normally configured to fire an ignitor rather than an MSD unit.
You also might have issues with electrical interference. I had all sorts of problems with my first variation of my setups... Here's the things i
changed that all made improvements and eventually sorted out my problems.
1. Replaced solid core wires with 8mm rf suppressed ignition leads.
2. Replaced the signal output wires from the ecu to the MSD with shielded ones.
3. Moved ECU triggering wires away from everything else that was electrically related.
4. Made an interface board to step up the low voltage/current of the ECU output to provide a stronger signal to the MSD.
See the attached picture too. Depending on how many coil drivers you are using, you make as many signal invertor/amplifiers as you need to. Costs
about $2 to make each invertor circuit, and it will fit inside a match box if made properly.

Hello,
You probably have already done this,but you may want to go back to the setup where it did not miss and start over,Change one thing at a time
otherwise you will be doing alot of guessing,and spend countless hours beating your brain up.I don't know your setup,but if going back to your old
ignition did not change the missfire,then it probably has to do with your fuel mapping.Is this a feedback(maf or map) system or purely a programable x
y grid map system?

Thanks Dude,
I have had a few set ups end engines in this car.
It has always had a miss. I have even totally re-wired the car a year ago. In changing the set ups over the years I have fitted new pumps, tps, crank
angle,leads, coils, manifolds, turbos, and throttle bodies.
Last time I raced it it went 11.06 @ 127 with a miss in every gear at about 7000-7500 rpm. It was like a rev limiter was on but I have checked that
they are off about 20 000 times. I fitted the msd to see if it would improve
but no go.
I'm thinking an internal igniter because the miss is moving down around the rpms and inconsistent.
I have put a new computer in now and will test it out as soon as I get a chance.
The Microtech computer is load(map) Ms Vs Rpm.
So you can tune load setting only or correct them through rpm if you want.
