the sliding door handle is about 50mm difference between the 2 because i have a small handle on my 82 whereas i should have a big handle, and my window measures 1100 x 450 on the outside of the rubbers:)

Thanks Pod for your reply. But can I ask which window did you measure? I trying to get a slider for the drivers side rear. 2/ the question is, Is the type 2 sliding handle(I think they were chromed) the short one that everyone refers to? Is it possible that these changes were made with the intrduction of the 86 2.1. but on sale late in 85? Does all this handle concern matter very much. do they all fit anyway? Baz
