sliding window into a kombi

i have a sliding window that i want to put into the kombi but was wondering how easy it is and what rubbers i require for it. what is the best way of removing the old window and installing the new. i have rung aroung various glass places and they want anywhere from $90 -!50 to just install the window.

If you've replaced fixed glass panels before, it's just like that (push the old one out, a piece of rope to refit the new). You need a window rubber for a fixed pane glass for the sliding door, not one with the 1/4 window, that will be too short. That's assuming you have an original slider?

The 1/4 window comes out after the fixed glass, it slides back ~1" then swings out. Unless the frames rusted, then it will pull out very easily, it's also then easier to remove the fixed panel then too.
