6 Volt Battery Recommendations

Hi List,

What do you people in 6 volt land recommend for a battery? Will any automotive 6v one do? How many CCA should I aim for?

I have the original single port engine in my '58 bus and want to see what works (and what doesn't) such as the semaphores without fear of frying them.

many thanks,
James

I used one of those 6v torch batteries, to test and fix up my phores. I did buy some second hand 6v battery for starting the engine... but I have now gone 12v.. and have elephant ears in place of the phores.. mite put them in one day..
