ej20tt 914

Sorry for the ridiculous delay in posting pics of the 914. It has been painted in gloss black with a shot of silver(no clear), we then pushed it into the sun and went over it looking for inperfections...2 little dents we did not see and some minor orange peel in spots. I have also pumped the rear gaurds out a fraction, thus the filler where the crease was tapped. I then rubbed it back again to get rid of the peel and dull it up for repainting. Hopefully this week I can get it done, so I can concentrate on the engine, brakes and reassembly. Note the radiator in the rear at present...will be in the front on a 45 degree angle where the spare wheel sits, with the surge pot and fuel pumps behind. All will be covered in the area where the wheel would have been. The twin turbos will be pissed of for a vf34...(may get a 2.5 sti motor but thats a secret around home), the intercooler will be big and sit in a cut out section on the boot lid. It will run twin no return fuel rails, and ems computer running a switchable 50hp NOS system prior to boost comming on.

I also have just been asked to build a vw chopped rod with an ej20t over christmas..will be a challenge, and I want to do a chopped splitty dual cab for a work ute with maybe a 3.0 suby with twin blowers or a blown lexus V8.

Matt

I will be getting a bigger one and mounting it futher back and have a hole cut in the boot so it sits on a slight angle sort of like a long low wing protruding from the middle. I will then put those thermos from the radiator in the pics(stock subaru rad) under the cooler.

Its not reversed... it is mid mounted to a subaru box. Imagine the motor where it sbould be in a subaru...and just pulling the box and engine back through the car till its behind the front seats and the front axles are now driving the rear.
With low trimmed front seats, them foward a touch so they can recline an extra notch and the cabin liner behind the seat cut back so the seat can hit the fire wall....with only a slight tilt of the head the targa fits on perfectly?

Hi

I got one leg into a 914 and chickened out, looked like it was going to be a Vaseline job to get me out if managed to get all the way in. I reckon a removable steering wheel would help.
