One Piece Tilt Front End....... Anyone???

OK I've searched the Forum without result, so I'll throw it out into forum land for your thought and comments.

Has anyone tried to do a one piece tilt front end on a Baja?

I'm thinking F'Glass, hinged and gas strut assisted lift.....

Two problems, where to hinge it to, and how to secure it in place at the back of the front fenders, so it will not move while driving, on or off road.

Cheers

He is restoring splitty chicks split window kombi.
He has or had a really nice goldy colour one in Vic.

Send splitty chick a u2u, she should be able to tell you who it is.

Hi Reub

I've been in Darwin since '97.

I haven't seen your dub around though....I'm in the Northern Suburbs, wouldn't mind having a peek at your machine one day.

I'm VW-less at the moment, but that will change soon.

Hope to catch up soon.

Cheers

Not NT'ers here than I first thought. :thumb

As for the tilt front end, i reckon that would be the easiest way to go for my super-baja. But im not really keen on spending that kinda $$$ to get one up here. The VW is really just a bit of fun.

I used to have a flip uo front on my baja , it was secured at the windscreen by bonnet pins and it used to work great on and off road, nothing like a one piece.
I think my dad still has the mould
