collapsable steering colum?
did the 70's standard beetle come out with a collapsable column? My buggy column is the solid shaft face-masher 60's type. I'd like to upgrade it
to something a little safer. Anyone retrofitted one from something else?

Hi
The colapsing part is near the steering box on the 1500 bug. Some aftermarket steering wheels boses haves a colapasing section as well.
