Wrecking 2 x '79 bays...BOTH SOLD WHOLE Thanks.
I'm wrecking 2 x 79 bay window 2L kombis. Both are complete and were running well when I bought them. Time and lack of interest are forcing their
sale. Both have sliding side windows one has the far back seat. I can get another middle and back seat if wanted.
Price obviously depends on the part but as a starter. Sliding windows $150 each, gearboxes $400 each, good engine with very minor oil leaks $1000
complete (I was told it was rebuilt about 12 months before I got it, I've driven it and it goes hard) and the other engine runs ok but has oil leak
issues $300 complete. I have extra doors too.
These were intended to be wrecked about 6 months ago, but due to a MAJOR computer failure just after listing I was unable to do any more about it, so
I apologise to anyone that sent messages before but I'm hoping my new computer will go the distance.
I can make some arrangements for free delivery to Brisbane for larger items if required.
Thanks.
Ross

Marz,
I don't exactly know what 'fat' steering wheels look like, but I don't think they have them.
Thanks.
Ross.

interested in a 091 box. Do you have any more specific details, have you driven the bus with the box? any issues? does the price include a starter?

Marz,
No, no fat steering wheels, both hard type.
555bug,
Both boxes are very driveable and quiet. It looks like one is spoken for. The starters are extra. They usually go for around $120 I've been told.
I will do a box and starter for $470 plus post.
76Camper,
The problem with parting it out is the carbs and the dizzy would normally be worth the whole asking price. I will do the carbs and the dizzy for $200
plus post.
Thanks.
Ross.

Just outta curiosity, how much ould ya sell me a cylinder head for?
Buttercup has a burnt valve on no.3, so I'm toying with the idea or replacing the whole (compeltely original-> 30year old) head whilst I have the
motor dropped...
Also, does the steering wheel have any cracks in the plastic, and if not, what price would ya have on one of them (mine has ageing cracks that look
unaesthetic )
And finally... do either of the kombi's have a front nudgebar or bullbar?
Oh, also... does one of the Kombi's have the VW insignia on the front? I would mind getting one just to make the old girl complete..
Cheers mate!

Hi Kieran,
As non-cracked Kombi sterring wheels are not easy to find, you might be interested in this link:

Now mestillwonders if Splitnut has a front emblem... and perhaps even a working original stezza'... the old one finally bit the dust today.
It wouldnt feel right if I put a CD-player in the old girl...
