Agree with NCH-003. Doesn't look like a 63 ....... no p/b switches, popouts, side parkers too low etc etc. But then many people do not know their
models. Even if some things are modified with later parts, some identifications still remain.
Buy it, slam it!!!! My heavens, you haven't driven a Type 3 much if you think it's cool to lower them much at all. I've been back in one for 2
weeks solid whilst the "normal" F ound O n R ubish D ump is off the road with a blown head gasket at Mudgee! In this hot weather, I do appreciate
the A/C rather than the 2 x 80kph A/C on the notch as well as the bumpier ride of the very slightly lowered notch, pedaling a clutch etc etc in the
traffic! Must be getting soft these days!

Think your fight about the eyar NCH... guy says it's a 12 volt.. looks later to me. Nice looking vehicle though.
In the worlds before Monkey primal chaos reigned. heaven sought order, but he pheonix can fly only when its feathers are grown. the 4 worlds formed
again and yet again, as the endless aoens weild and passed. Time and the pure essence of heaven and the moisture of the earth all worked upon a
certain rock old as creation. And it became mgically fertile. That first egg was named "Thought". Thathaga Buddha, the father Buddha, said
with our thoughts we make the world. Elemental forces caused the egg to hatch and from it came a stone monkey! The nature of MONKEY WAS
IREPRESSIBLE!!!!! !

Ah Kafer69, that's why my notch has that white top. Had an all gulf blue 64 notch back around 1974 and it was hot! The 69 birch green one was ok
to a point.
Wasn't slagging off anyone with the comment, just a well known fact with driving comfort as well as general roadholding safety. A serious dump on
the suspension which limits the movement before hitting the bump stops can be rather dangerous.............................. but I'm only an engineer
so I guess that counts me out!
Buy that notch and save another one from the scrapheap.

mate the issue was the use of the word 'cool' as in: "...if you think it's cool to...", not safety.
Ah well who cares. Someone grab the bastard and love it either way.

No BA intended here honest , however........!
I have cruised heaps of K's in a lowered Type3 and never had a single problem. Like an awful lot of other type 3 owners have.
As for thinking it's cool to lower a type 3 what do you think ?
Seriously get with the beat baggy and say hello to the 21st Ceutury Here's a site that may help you a little....http://www.hoodride.com/nucleus/.

Ps someone buy this Notch and give it the attention and love and Air bags it needs Muhahahhahahahahaha

With memories of "dumped" Notches, maybe a young gentleman by the name of Robbie Madden started it all during the mid 60s. He had a great looking
(64??) Notch which appeared in "Wheels" from memory in the 60s. It was bronze in colour with modified guards to clear the wide wheels and
lowering and was pushed along quite quick by the modded engine.
Yes!!!!!!!!! They look great, cool and all of those things when lowered and providing that you stick to the better surface roads there isn't much
trouble except for lack of oil to the wheel bearings on the swing axle. Somtimes my ones seem to get "off road"!! as seen high up on the Macdonald
River above Wisemans Ferry in 1999. The 69 Notch bounced along over numerous kms on dirt road and 3 river fords and eventually it got to the
ancestors old home ground.
Long live our Type 3 whatevers and whatever year. Yes please! Someone buy the one on e-bay which is looking for a home!

Has anyone looked over the notch yet? I'm interested but live too far away to inspect,,
Sent a query to the owner about rust and got this reply,
"small amount near the top or the front gaurds near the windows and front bonnet near the crome and top of the rear gaurds near the windows no smoke
normal oil leaks has a cracked extractor not sure of compression i have not taken to get a reg so not sure what it might need"

I've already emailed him, and am waiting for a reply. I regret the day I sold my '70 notch... I might just buy it, and give it to the wife as a
christmas present!
