WTB Arc Welder. ASAP


Im after a 2nd hand but in good order ARC welder in sydney, got one in the shed you never use? need a little bit of beer/christmas cash?

You can buy "cheap" ones these days for under $90 new, this would be the best way to go.

got one of the cheapies ,good for lighter applications but the duty cycle is not good as they cut out a lot ,am thinking of adding a 240v comp style fan to mine to get better usage:smilegrin:

Yeh, think ill go for a cheap $98 one with all the gear and a fan...... thought i might pick up something 2nd hand that had a larger duty cycle and shit.

Find a old 140amp cig one, even if you pay the same as a new one for it you'll be better off. Try ebay

or get a light gas/gasless 120amp mig and stuff the arc

i wouldn't use an arc welder on a car body, mig and gass is the only way to go.

I know this, the ARC is for a different application. ive welded my fair share of sheetmetal lately, i know not to use an ARC
