Shannon's DoVW Burswood FEEDBACK

Please let us know what was good and what was not good about the DoVW at Burswood this year. We need your input with feedback so that we can improve our presentation of the show.
Especially let us know if you would like the show in the new G.O. Edwards Park where it was yesterday, or back at Charles Patterson Park beside the river.
Tell us what you think, no matter how trivial you think it may be. It's getting the little things right that can make all the difference.
If you want to have a whinge or a dummy spit, feel free.

Thanks in anticipation,
The Committee,
The Volkswagen Club of Western Australia (Inc.)

Hello,

I thought it was a great show yesterday and am suprised that the weather did'nt stop more people from coming.

The new venue is just a good as Burswood too. Congrats to all involved

i recon the car shows need more audiance participation/entertainment, got to keep the family and friends of car lovers entertained so they dont start whining and want to leave early. rocker cover races, strong man comp (pulling a car?) all that sort of stuff.
thae victorian DOVW had a guy on the pa all day, some music would have been good

Nice relaxed atmosphere, VERY Good venue, Much prefer G.O Edwards to Burswood and would be very happy to see the show back there again...
Cars needed to be parked a little closer to the gazzebo as it was a fair walk backwards and forwards..
Some music/musac would have been good but no big deal...
Good show, thanks Richard and the club...

I hate to admit it, but man, I think you're right....

I think it was a good turnout despite the weather. The location was good, however we may have missed a few spectators compared to Charles Patterson Park as you get the people using the cycleway by the river coming by for a look. I think I prefer Charles Patterson Park as GO Edwards is a little bit out of the way.

I agree with akean1's comments about some form of entertainment (of what form, I'm not sure) during the day, this would keep people from leaving early.

Also it would be great to have a cruise after the show, it would be great to see all of those VW's on the road!

Hey Richard,
As a sponsor, I thought the show was a good turnout but became a little disappointing that you couldn’t keep the people there for the Presentation. I do however under stand it takes a lot of work to get all the vote together, but only having a hand full of people there to hear my company name, when there was so many people there. I will how ever be happy to sponsor the Off Road prizes next year…
Now as a spectator apart from the cars there was nothing to do….at all. I think maybe someone is needed to run some events like said above in an other post. As you know I have done a lot of work on the rocker cover race and if it had someone to run it it’s all there or maybe a jumping castle for the kids. Maybe an engine blow comp wouldn’t be that hard to get an old motor….then the club could charge $2 to pick a time of how long the Motor will last before it blows. Then start it after Presentation this will keep some people around. Then follow the show up with a cruise to the beach or freo or something

Yep more cruising for sure! We had a short one on the way there with a few of the No H2O lads and it was a blast to see all the vws in a line!

Otherwise - awesome work!!!
