Grrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!
Grrrr
Just limped home - again!
Blew a spark plug out of #3 yesterday - thought yeah stupid, and put it back in. No Worries!
Just blew it again - put it back in but it wont tighten. Just goes round and round
Well, hopefully its a stripped thread and not a cracked head.
Who wants to wager a $5 on it. I am going for a split head.
2 weeks ago the toilet blew up under the slab. New bathroom - good buy $8k.
A few medical bills have set me back another $7k
I reckon i can piss $20k out the window by June - EASY!

I always worry about the VW heads, but now I am worried about the toilet blowing up, I am scared & constipated, is it related to beer? or the way
you go about increasing your posts or what your kids put down there?:o |

Well - we will find out today.
They were old heads that were cleaned up by Headjobs Unlimited.
They had been cut....... lets just say "several" times.
In hind sight new heads would have been the go ... but money...
At the time $400 for head, P&C and CW crank was good value.
Still is?
Richard is betting on the stripped thread, and has a magical tool that cuts a copper insert in without pulling the motor.
I guess i will see by tomorrow :jesus

Sorry Barry, it sounds like Murphy's Law is at work. I fear the worst! Perhaps you can start thinking about new 044s now. Check out:
http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=77
I know how you feel. I have the Kombi's rego now due, the Visa bill has arrived, two speed camera things to pay and three parking tickets due
this week! At least there's beer in the fridge at home.

"but now I am worried about the toilet blowing up"
Kombikim - have you thought about blaming the Americans ? They seem to be hitting everything these days.
You might get some "Humanitarian aid"

Port-a- potties are cheap, & you can empty them over the fence,
fixing the car is more important, as you can then drive to a toilet
Fatboy - I don't think it was the Americans,
unless the toilet was in a tent:vader |

Sorry Barry, but you'll thank me when you realise how much beer money you might be saving!
Even better if you know anyone going to the States soon. They can bring them back for you in their suitcase - no freight, no import duty, no worries.
It's worked for me many times!

Forgot to mention - CB Performance also sell complete 48IDA kits:
http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=1210
A pity they are in Farmersville CA, which is a few hours drive out of LA. Doesn't matter if you're having your stuff mailed or couriered,
but a hassle if you have friends getting them for you.

what I think is in order here is a reduction in cost of the toilet repair - so there is more money for the important things " Blue 74".
Plumbers are so expensive....could you get a general builder to quote on the toilet? (which has probably already been repaired...Doh !)
