I need a new seat (actualy just the bottom runner) but have been told that there are different types of runners, how do I tell the difference?

Year model is anoyher problem as its not a standard v dub, one of those cut down f/glass jobs, hell of a lot of fun to drive but as a new v duber I am on a fast learning curve. I have checked the track and it just comes straight up off the floor and then turns out at 90 deg about 5-10 mm. The track on the seat seems to be a simple channel that sits around the floor bit. Does that give you any clues

thanks for the help, tried photo but too cramped to get something clear 375mm between rails if thats a help definatly a beetle as that is the only type they cut down to make the buggys welding is definatly original
