Just Some Questions

hi

I am Doing up my '67 beetle. Firstly i was wondering With painting your car how are you able to tell whether you need to respray or take it back to metal and start from scratch. Also ive been reading about Spray cans and spraying your car in it . Does this method really work well, What are the down sides to it.
Thanks

There is a lot of good info in the locked threads at the top of the Paint & Body forum.

To do it properly stripping to bare metal is ideal. Painting with professional spray gun and compressor and quality paint is ideal.
