front and rear lids

going for the smoothie look most likely, whats my best route to take when removing the latches etc, and afterwards how do i open/lock them? thinking soleniods/poppers would be easiset but is there another option? also is this even legal in qld? if i did the doors aswell??? or is it like nsw where u must have a switch on the outside also.
