Schmo's Bus sightings...
OK, well I'm starting a thread here documenting my day to day Kombi sightings....read it if ur interested... ignore it if ur not.. 
I'll start with last Wednesday... when I spotted a really nice yellow/white 11-window splitty in a the United petroleum servo in South Nowra... had
nice mags and looked like a recently resto'd one. the person filling her up appeared to be a lady... no signifcance... just thought someone may wanna
put up there hand and claim ownership LOL 
On Saturday, my mate's dark blue rat-packer '73 camper, "Lucy", was in my driveway... where it sat for a few hours as we went about the task of
removiung my own Kombi's motor...
and today, I spotted two baywindow campers on the way home from the huskisson dump. The first was a beautiful light blue one parked in a driveway at
the bottom of McArthur Dr in Woollamia (it seems to never move from there)... and the 2nd was a whitish high-light with what appeared to be thin
orange/brown trim around it and a bullbar. looked like a Sunliner style poptop setup...this one was travelling along Jervis Bay Rd, also near
Woolamia/Falls Creek.

There's a maroon Vanagon in one of the complexes in Quinn's Ln, South Nowra... cant see the front, so dunno if she's an aircooler or a pumper.
Vanagon's arent really my thing, but, meh... still a bus.

Spotted anither THREE buses today!
First was a blue baywindow camper with campmobile style poptop parked on the dirt at the corner of Forest Road and the Princes Hwy in Falls Creek
which I passed at about 9:30ish
Then at around midday I spotted a dirtyish off-white Vanagon parked in Berry St, Nowra. This one was a hot-water toilet powered bus.
last one I saw was a yellow baywindow Sunliner headed south along the Princes Hwy in Nowra near Marriot Park.

Yesterday (Wednesday), I happened to spy a white Sopru campmobile travelling south down the Highway past Pepper Rd in Tomerong.
Hooray for Campers!
On that note... almost every bus I see is a camper...

Driving in Huskisson on Thursday, caught sight of a tidy blue Caravelle travellig down the main street in the morning.
In the afternoon, I spotted a white camper with an orange? stripe in the Husky' RSL carpark... it used ro be a regular there.. but don't see it much
anymore.

Spotted another white camper with an orange stripe going round the Bi-Lo roundabout in Vincentia this morning... noisy bugger it was!
Hang on.. wonder if it's the same one thats in the RSL... hmmmm.

passed a dark jungle-green bay NON-CAMPER bay Kombi with a bullbar on Pine Forest Road in Tomerong this morning... would have waved but I was driving
mums Commodore so it didnt seem appropriate... besides... there isnt room in a commodore cockpit to swing a cat let alone wvae LOL

Spotted a white bay camper with a trailer driving past Husky Public School this arvo... It appeared to have an intricate pattern on the side towads
the front which thinnned out towards the back... didnt get a close look tho cosI was parked ayt the end of the sidestreet waiting for my siblings to
finish school.
From what I could tell though, it almost looked like... a HIPPY BUS!!!:jesus :bounce

Passed another bus today... a nice low, all white micro with mags by the looks of it heading south down the highway in Falls Creek... looked as if it
could have neen a '72 perhaps?

Passed an absolutely SPOTLESS, IMACULATE T3 Kombi on the road to Huskisson on Monda arvo... very nice shade of dark blue, metallic I think.
Could have been a Syncro judging by the stance on it.
Also, passed the same jungle-green kombi on Pine Forest Road again going into Tomerong village earlier that morning...

Ok... for the last week and a bit's bus sightings...
Friday before last, noticed a 1972-3 kombi similar in color to kombi-troppo's but without the fancyness :P parked in the wreckers in South Nowra...
not in the wrecking yard itself LOL. Also spotted a dark red Syncro leaving the school of arts carpark and a white standard vanagonin the Woolies
carpark.
Saturday was a blast... went on a trip to sydney and back towing down a 30 foot yacht and spotted 7 kombis thru the day. Passed an orange camper just
out of Berry, and spotted a green kombi entering a bush track a little further along at the intersection. In Gerringong we passed another orange
camper with white hubcaps near one of the roundabouts. In Appin there was a grey early bay camper parked under an awning out front of a house looking
rather ratty indeed, and in C'town there was a white poptop vanagon at traffic lights. passed a really nice looking orange bay camper with a forward
westy type rack in front of the poptop and some ok but average looking white plastic wheel covers on it parked on the side of the road in the Casula
area, and finally a nice shiny green micro with deluxe trim went past as we (with some difficulty) left a petrol station in Albion Park...
And finLLY, my last two sightings, both within a minute of each other some day last week, I watched a very ratty and rusty looking white (sort of)
bay camper with a DARK GREEN (????!!!) poptop trundle past along the highway, followed less than a minute later by a beautiful shiny sparkly bronze
vanagon with poptop travelling in the opposite direction.
Oh and if your wondering abourt the boat.... well, after much abuse from asshats in BMW's and soupd up Dunnydoors, we managed to get the boat down to
Bomoderry within 5 hours... without ever reaching 60kph. :jesus... oh and that was after punching a 10 inch square hole in the bottom og it with the
trailer and almost getting the Pajero stuck in the drink at the Concorde boatramp.

OK... last weekend, spotto'ed a nice shiny sky blue and white bay bus parked at the Nowra Air Day... looked very nice indeed.
And the weekend before that I got a fat wave from a guy in a shiny orange and white two tone bay that I passed on the Princes Hwy in Falls Creek.

ooops.. a bit behind... a few weeks ago 76camper and I went to look at a subi-bay down here near Jervis Bay... on the way i nto Vincentia, I spotted
what appears to be the same jungle-green kombi i have seen often in Tomerong, this time parked on the curb beside Whitesands Park in Huskisson.
:bounce... also saw the white kombi in the RSL again.
On the way back we passed a light colored... off-white I think bay camper heading towards Husky.
And today!!... today... stopped to have a geezer at a really shitty looking whit(ish) bay camper parked on the nature strip outside a house in
Vincentia... looked like it was more or less rust free but had been neglected and abused and painted by successive yuppy backpackers... had a few
dings, no rear bumper... but still had a towbar... crappy dirty paint, and had some scene painted on the door and such in what I take to be poster
paint. :duh
Then on the way back home thru husky, passed a burnt orangy ochrey sort of colored '73 camper with a pinstripe along the side, parked on the side of
the road adjacent to the PO. :bounce

Today... well the orange bay was outside the PO in husky again... realised it had red P's on it.... anyone on here own that one? I'd assume another
youngish dubber.
btw... that one has a rat-rack in front of the poptop
Also saw a nice pale pink (almost white) bay sopru camper parked in the coles carpark today... and a rather beaten white T3 kombi in the Aldi carpark.

Saw not 1 but 2 light blue (Dove blue?) bay campers today... a rather beaten but still nice looking one with a grey roof (and white poptop of course),
and roofracks on the poptop... turning out of a street in Huskisson, and a very clean looking one without roof racks in Nowra.

Saw a couple of campers heading north on the way back from Berry on Sunday... and on Monday morning, passed the orange and white bay that was parked
next to my bus at the blast, it was stopped at the lights heading south in Nowra near Machonachies...
And today... spottoed the jungle green bus parked off the side of the road in Husky near the police station. :bounce

passed a light bllue bus with a bullbar last weekend in falls creak near the Jervis Bay Rd turnoff...

A orange and white bay kombi with a bullbar went past me in SOuth Nowra when I was stopped on the side oof the highway near Bunnings at around 11am
today... I waved to the them out the window of the BMW... a bluish colored 528i.
I followed it uuntil it turnedd off up whatever street.. the one that has the shoalhaven ethanol servo.
and an hour or so later on the way back from dropping the Beamer off at the auto sparkie, we passed a white poptop kombi on either the princess
highway or albatross road... eheh... that was in a navy blue Holden SV2000 stationwagon.

passed a white watercooled Vanagon at the lights near the copshop in Nowra yesterday at around 4 o clock... I waved but the snob didnt wave back to
me! :cry:

Passed the junglegreen bus again on Pine Forest Rd yesterday morning, and a nice light blue camper at the Huskisson turnoff. :bounce
flashed the lights at both, but I was probably ignored as I was driving a Commodore

OK... my latest bus sightings...
Last week sometime, saw a very nice looking shiny blue camper with some sort of design on the rear side panel go down the highway in Tomerong.
And today...
An orange/white tintop (same as Squiff) with a Wayne Penrose VW sticker on the back window pulled into the log cabin servo this arvo while I was
filling up Buttercup... I gave em a honk when I left the servo, and then they passed me and gave a wave when i was waiting to walk across the highway
a few minutes later to pull down a garge sale sign.
And within 10 minutes of that, another two kombi's passed me as I was travelling back down the highway after turning round in a sidestreet a little
further up... a light blue/white camper, being followed right behind by a light green/white campper with a fat bullbar and a trailer... and in true VW
spirit, waves were again exchanged. :bounce

Since Monday... spottoed a tatty looking white Synchro with Zorst going round the roundabout near Maccas in South Nowra on Monday, then spotted a
tatty white bay camper stopped at the lights near the Archer on the way back home. :bounce
Yesterday, helped out a couple from Melbourne who's bus lost it's zorst.... a handpainted but still nice looking orange and white '76 deluxe.
Also yestereday, spotted I think the same Synchro parked near Hardly Normal , and on the way back home, passed a flipper blue (as best I could tell
through rain and a foggy windscreen) bay camper on the Highway a little way out of South Nowra.
And today, I passed the green Kombi on the road to Huskisson again.

Passed a white Kombi on the highway not far out of south nowra yesterday afternoon.... and the driver didnt wave back!
