i need pics of some flat black rat style busses

hi there,im building a 75 bay bus,im painting the bus satan black with some pin stripping on some areas,it will look real gangsterish, but some people are trying to talk me out of this paint colour, and in doing so im starting to doubt the colour choice.
im a painter/beater by trade so basicly any colour is going to be easy to do,but iv done all the colours i like and want something that you dont see every day....
id like it dumped hard
satan black,pin stripping
moon discs or some old school disc hubbies.
eye lids
and so..

iv drwn the bus and it looks mad,but nothing tell the story than some good pics.

if any one canhelp the would be great...

ill keep every one updated on what the bus looks like as i go.

http://www.kruizinwagon.com.au/

He doesn't have pinstriping but he did have moondiscs at one stage, looked the bomb. He also lowers the sills and stuff on his.

david.
mate over the years iv painted some colours that would blow your mind, and some of my own cars are still in the top20 at the summer nats last year.
as i said in the post i wanted something that even i havnt done.
my first thoughts where a realy nice tangerine orange on the bottom with a pearl off white on the top with red and green mow hawk flams down the middle.
but iv seen it done and yes it looks wicked but i want a black bus.
pete wood.
yes mate iv seen the cool buses at indian,i use to work a couple of streets away when i was in sydney and use to go over there in my lunch break and just stair....i realy think this where the idea come from.

do you all think the moon discs and white walls are the way to go........or should i lash out and maybe put a set of 17-18" fat chromes.

cheers scotty

How about Satin black paint, dumped on stock but widened wheels-painted Kandy red with white walls/ chrome VW caps.
Flame the roof with Kandy flames+blue pinstripe....retrim interior in red
Get a full set of Deluxe trim/safari's/chrome bumpers

The Satin black/red/white and chrome work brilliantly together!

hey scott. the matt black theme is becoming too common in the vw scene. many a flat black job is around. kimm has had his crew cab for as long as i remember. i ve have a matt black splitty for clsoe to 7yrs. mine was one of the fist and only you would see at shows. i can now count about 7 matt black splitties and 5 fatchicks off the top of my head. yet i bet there are more.

dont believe the dead beats, the colour looks great, and is the perfect gangstar/hot rod style, biut dont be suprised to see others the same.

wes

I love moon discs and no one seems to have put them on anything for ages. Leave the Chromies for the bling boys and go old school.

yeah well said wes.
i think the reason we see a few matt black buses now is cos people out there cant panel beat and this is a safe way the do a bodge job on the car and still have it look half decent.
mine on the other hand is already dead straight with no rust.

im going to go for the satin finish, with some pin stripping.
the interior is hard,it will be a full custom cream colour with red flames and printed iron croses.

im going to just keep the standard rims with the fatest tyes i can go and a set of red walls.

im going to flame the roof just to see if it looks ok,if it looks shiat ill paint over it.

also is buying a kit from a suplyer the best way to lower the front,iv been told the rear will lower 3" just with adjustments but the front needs a new something or other.

any help would be great on this one.
