i need a few answers
hey, people i am trying to restore my 65 ex-PMG ute,
and would like to ask some questions.
1: the right hand side lip on the top of the guard (rear) has been cut off and i would just like to know, will a bay window one fit on if i welded it
back on,
if not what will fit.
2:being an ex-PMG bus it has the two treasure chest doors, under the tray, do have to get surtan ones to fit it.
3:the rust is not that bad, but i have a dent in the front on the left hand side, (a fairly big one), can some one tell me what i can do to get this
dent out.

1.
Better to get one from a split.
I think they are a bit differant, not much but it would not match the other side if you put a bay one on, also depends on what year bay.
2.You might have to get someone to make one, unless you know someone who is wrecking a PMG ute??
3.Have a word with a panel beater, they know what they are talking about, dont listen to someone who has never done the job before.
I have noticed that there are quite a few nice splits around Adelaide, must be something to do with the dodgy water, they dont seem to rust as much
there.
How about contacting one of the SA split boys, see if they can help you.

give pmg a ring he knows all to know about these things and has panels and a heap of stuff like window slide catches and i know that he has wheel
arches as well
dont relly know what you mean when u say top lip is it the tray lip of wheel arch lip ???
