Hi

The local choptops use a disused road bridge, speak to your local council. Factory ones use a brace that bolts to the chassis under the heater channels, thats not the whole story, theres heaps of bracing in the shell as well, one that I plan to reproduce on my 1303 is at the base of the A&B pillar, have a good look at a factory next time you see one.

Why are you after it ??

Reason I ask is cause if you are thinking og doing your own it will be a major PITA to get past Torsion and Beaming to get registered. Best to buy a dead convertible and re-body it so to speak.

I have a set of approved conversion plans if you want to have a look at them to see what is involved. You will have to come and have a look though as I am not emailing or reproducing them in anyway as I don't want them copied. They are for you to get an idea of.

Anyway the offer is there if you are in the area.

Why copy when you can own an original ?

not hacking my roof off, just considering every option i can think of to make the whole thing more rigid, figured something similar would do nicely, and the way i worked it out in my head, i wont loose any ground clearance:tu:
