Questions, Questions, Questions
Hi all in the know,
1. I have currently got my speedo dis-assembled as the blicker covers/green plastic has burnt, due to heat and old age. I am wondering if anyone is
able to tell me what I used to replace these covers? Green & red plastic sheets from the newsagent?
2. I am looking installing the high back pro fixed bucket seats from CB Performance, does anyone know if these are legal in AUS? And if they are, does
anyone in AUS sell them?
3. My wiper switch is dead, well not the switch itself the water pump mechanism. I understand that these rubbers are not sold anymore and that it is a
better way to use a electric pump anyways, my question is : what does everyone do with the play in the switch? There is about an inch of play - I was
thinking that maybe a spring loaded switch could be installed so when you pull out the switch it activates the pump, but this is just an idea.
Cheers,
Matt.

Yep! I used green & red plastic sheets from the newsagent in my speedo and they work great. I bought a couple of different kinds of green & red
plastic sheet (well actually they were A4 folder thingies), and when I got them home I held them all up to a light to decide which would look best.
The "frosted" ones are better than the translucent ones (put the frosted side of the plastic on the inside of the speedo).
EDIT: Oh yeah, and I took the opportunity to use the more modern colours for the warning lights: I changed the indicator from the original red to
green, and I changed the old green generator light to red which seems appropriate as my bug has an alternator now.
