ej22 exhaust for a Beetle

Hi, just wondered if any one can help me with an exhaust for a 2.2 subaru motor which i am putting in my Bug. Can i buy one off the shelf from somewhere or do i have to have one made? Im coming to Australia in 3 weeks to Perth. Is there anywhere in Perth?

You will need to get one made. Not difficult - but depending on your ride height, you may need to get the std manifolds shortened... will be several hundred bux

As any one heard of a Magnaflow on a Suby? If so, how did it sound? I am building my headers now. I got a 1.8L exhaust manifold and modified it. I cut the main headers down and reused the Y-pipe. It actually looks pretty good. The headers are 1 5/8" stock size and I am going with a muffler that has a 2" inlet and outlet. I was thinking that 2 1/4" might be a little to much.

Where do you live?
You can buy some systems 'off the shelf' for vanagons and buggies but not sure about beetles.
In the USA see smallcar , KEP, or out back

In AUS I think maybe Sharpbuilt do an exhaust

2 1/4" is fine for n/a, for turbo you'd probably use 2 1/2 or 3".
