I am finally a dubber.(pics of resto r posting here) :D
it came in today, on a truck. Delivery guys were great, they did a good $ deal, and so did Karmen (from here on avd).
I gots myself a noice blue 1967 baja. With some great spares, and already a few offroad mods. (gear box strap, kit, centrifugal air filter, barwork,
phat tyres, spotties, blah blaH).
ANd very proud of it for the price i paid. The floor pan is next to awesome, the body is dam decent for the price. She needs a lil' work, has a
little bit of rust in the a pillars on both sides, anyone know if you can get a piller panels?
But anyways, shes gonna go for a bull body resto, and i'm gonna clean up the pan and put a coat of that new rust bullet stuff on it (when i can get
some and hav some spare $$ after uni).
Finally, i have the opportunity to walk, no just talk. Talk the talk, walk the walk, u get it.
Will bring pics later. I feel like an "am a be" rathe than a "one a be". Thanx so much for bug eyed babe (Refered me to Karmen), Karmen ( for the
sale and great price, patience and putting himself out, ur a champ bernie!), and the delivery guys, Maryborough towing, i think it was, anyways, the
drivers name was also chris, and used ot own a 74 bug.

hait? Lol, dunno what u mean there, but be ready? Well, if thats what u mean, I honestly don't know. Its not that far from roadworthy and running,
but i thought, while i'm at it, i might as well fix the whole thing up so i am sure that the body and pan are next to new and give me a decade or so
before nasties come back again. Will rebuild the engine too. I know a few good books i will have to look out for for that. I htink the engine can wait
though, cause its pretty good, just needs a 12 v conversion. Anyone know anyone who sells complete 12v conversion kits with everything?
My main goal, is schoolies 06'. I'm going as a toolie with a girl who took a yr off to give tafe ago, and hence got delayed a yr in her schooling.
But mid yr klub fest would be noice. Money is my main limiter at the moment, and i'm not sure how much spare time i will get with uni.
But i can't wait too long, so i'm gonna put every spare second i got into the car. Am yet to give it a name or determine its gender. Lol

concern.
But asking you guys? well, we all saw what happened last time i interogated the hell out of yas, Lol.

oh my god, It was so hilarious. mum saw my book, the jeff hibbards baja bug and buggies and saw the offroad racing cover, and with teh recent hire of
herbie movies and herbie racing around, and seeing my car, she was complaining to dad worrying that the thing was a gut full big balls race car, even
after dad reassured her. Seeing the kit and all, she was thinking high performance. Shes still worried i'm gonna be street racing and hooning despite
being a 1300 rather than her 1800cc ford laser.
hav to say though, hooning in a 1600 is fun (in the backyard of my mates house).
I had the car out in the street for about 2 hrs till dad worked a way to get it up the driveway. The amount of heads turning to look at it was
incredible. I had a great time, just watching people driving past, not concentrating on the road and checking out my baja. Already, simply being ur
run of the mill baja, heads are turning. I luv it. :thumb

Pics, yeah pics! VW pics.
My neigbours kid (now three years old) is at a stage now where he asks 100 questions in an hour if you let him. I limit him by saying he is only
allowed one question per hour from each one of us.
He asked once. "Is it time to ask my next question?"
I said "Yep, and that is your question gone now for this hour, see you in another hour"
Don't read me wrong Chris, I am not saying you are like a three y/o.

Nah mate, kits ok, i get ya, no offense taken at all. Lol
Speaking of 3 yr olds, my placid lil' bro is now annoyin the heck outta me. Every time i go out side now, he asked if he can go play with 'herbie',
and everytime i go to it to ahve a look at the car, he opens the door and sits in it pretending to drive, and don't get me started on his compulsive
hugging and talking to the bug that he does, Lol.
I don't mind, but the gunk on the floor makes a mess on his feet.
Anyways, heres what u wanted, PICS!!!

Shes in need of work, not too bad at allthough. Little structural rust, heater channels solid enough to support a whole man. (been walking on em to
make sure.)
Am gonna do a full resto. The thought of a clean, fresh 1st car sounds great and appealing to me.
It will be the body i will be focusing on more than anything. Not sure if i should do any mods, i want to, but $$$ coming in just suck. Its enough to
support me and a resto, seeing i got no kids or family to support, and only have ot pay $40 board a week.
Or maybe just get it basically roadworthy, and save for a buggy. hmm. I wonder. Ideas ideas ideas, so many.

i get ya.
I haven't fixed the door yet, have been wondering whether i was gonna give it a respray or not. and i don't wanna put things together if i'm gonna
respray it. But i think i won't, and keep her the least roadworthy and registered as i save to slap a buggy body on it.
Just gotta work out the mounting for the lower door hinge on the driver side. its rusted off and just floats (the lower hinge floats)
