Hey Lee,
Do you lose much strength out of that rear valance by having it removable? I'd just expect that you would...

Hey Lee,

I try to get up your way about once a month to spend some quiet time up at My Father-in-law's (Tony Noonan) block at Monkerai not far from your place. Would love to call in one day and give your jug a test run while I perv at your project.

Drop me a line and I'll try and tee up some tea bags and coffee.

The Bronze.

Sorry its taken so long to answer Your question, I haven't checked this one .... Well I'm not sure Steve, the Fibreglass is quite thick - and because of the shape, doesn't bend or flex etc.. the 2 sides- plus the bottom curves under a fair way. I don't want to cut it for the exhaust - that would weaken it - so the exhausts will be coming out from under it or the guards.. I did think of just cutting round holes in it for the exhaust... not sure how that would look... maybe the easist way out.... I have also thought of placing a brace across it made from steel or aluminium.. When its all bolted together [with guards] its probably close to the strength of the original tinware...

Hey Lee

My computer tell me not to open it as the file looks suspicious.

ahhh double!

what you wanna do sounds exactly like what i wanna do with my 69!

it'll be low, aero guards, fibreglass rear valance, an exhaust sticking out a hole in either the rear valance or a rear aeroguard ot in front of the rear wheels! ( ;) ) i wanna get pop out rears, it has an aftermarket pop up sunroof and is getting painted bright bright bright neon "ouch it hurts my eyes" white. only thing is i don't have the engine for it yet... but it will be an EA82 subaru with front mount radiator and 17" chrome wheels.

but b'sides my non-vw mods, i luv your taste in cars... this one should be a real looker when it's done! i love the multicoloured engine :)

more pics please! :D

Yianni
