Fight back, bringing VWs Home from USA

Just curious does anyone have an Idea of the cost in bringing a kombi from USA to here?
Also and knowledge re left to right hand conversions? difficulty costly?
I have seen some early type 2s that seem reasonable there seems to be an oversupply of single cabs at reasonable prices if the cost of importation and conversion was not to much.

Roll on Roll off is available again between Oz and US (wasn't when I bought my 23 window back). Bout US$1500 all in.

LHD to RHS convesrion isn't difficult on a split - hardest part is the dash. Remember that your cargo doors will also be on the 'wrong' side in a bus tho - not a problem for a single cab of course.

You could be disappointed too. Lotsa California cars are crusty - just buying from Ca is no guarantee. Think a vehicle that has spent its life in Arizona would be a lower risk (market is cheaper, cars are drier...)
