do all the nut jobs decide to drive when it rains
ok i avoided one idiot who didnt look when changing lanes then only to have a little old man merge in to my lane and put me into the median strip.
then he gets out and tells me that he didnt see me and i was going to fast. hell i was sitting at the lights next
to him and i was still in first gear :cussing:cussing anyway it turns out when his daughter gets there that she tells him hes in the wrong and that he
will have to pay for the repairs. so does anyone know a good pannel beater who is good with fibreglass and does a reasonable job in sydney preferable
near drummoyne or waverton
just correcting spelling

And the dark, the light, the weekends, peak hour, anytime that takes the fancy of inconsiderate or daydreaming people who think they are sitting in
their lounge, not a motor vehicle.

yep... i was driving home from work at 4am last night... some guy in a ute almost hit the back of me on the freeway... he shoots around me, cuts me
off and speeds into the distance... as i get to the top of the offramp he's sitting there at the red light... i looked across at him and kinda
chuckled and shook my head... the guy reacted like i'd just slept with his wife... "**** you... whats your F***ing problem... blah blah blah"...
chip on his shoulder or what!

Im used to driving in London.
I have never seen such inconsiderate driving as I have here in brisbane. Its unbelieveable.
Brisbane drivers need to realise its not a race and grow up a bit.

The problem with Brisbane drivers is most of them are from down south and they left their road sense down there.

That blows the big wiener
There are many shoddy Sydney drivers..
Other Sydney bad habits..
*rather do a three point turn in a two lane street and hold everyone up, than go round the block (their time is obviously more important than a dozen
other peoples)
*no indicating, especially for radical lane changes.
*pushing in from a sidestreet so you have to slam the brakes.
But the time I drove from Sydney to Gold Coast, the further north I was, I
noticed a LOT of the old 'overtake, then slow down, then speed up along the overtaking lane so you can't overtake, then slow down again' technique

I used to drive in Sydney, and it wasn't too bad! For a while I commuted from Coogee to Brookvale, but I was driving a Silvia then, not a Beetle. Now
I'm in Melb, and the better drivers are closer to the city! Driving to work is awesome, but from work the further away from the city I get, the more
braincells and common sense people are lacking.
Sorry to hear about your accident Barls... what car were you driving?

Yeah, lucky even though you were still a bit unlucky.
Here's hoping it gets fixed right as umm... rain... anyway.

I had two car loads of girls taking photos of each other on the F3 this afternoon, in the fast lane and middle lane. They slow down to 80kmph to do
it. Then stayed side by side for the next 10 minutes. I hung back for a while, and then went under them via the slow lane. I just hope I don't read a
headline in the morning.

Hey PrettyBlueBug... I noticed that aswell... i HATE driving in Melbourne, but the closer i get to the CBD the better it becomes (with the exception
of hoddle st).. driving home its like everybody sees big clear roads as their excuse to forget the rules.
"almost there... almost there... now if i just pull out on to the wrong side of the road, cut this kombi off, run a red light, drag the guy off at
the next set of lights, fail to indicate, and also fail to pull a handbrake turn into my driveway, reverse, do a 3 point turn, pretend its not my
house, go round the block and come back later to save face"... PHEwww.! :P

There are the same old turkeys driving badly no matter where you go. I've encountered idiots everywhere I've been. Most of the ones I seen recently
seem to be wearing P plates. No offence to all the P platers on here, just calling how I see it.
Sorry about the bingle Barls. Make sure you have the guys license no and rego and you'll be fine. The NRMA will often chase drivers who are at fault
in an accident with you, even if you don't have comprehensive insurance on your car.
Had to laugh when you wrote that the daughter turned up and told he was in the wrong!

oh , yeah..
the one that applies here:-
*causing an accident and blaming the victim.
My dad's pristine subaru touring wagon written off (full speed passenger side t-bone) by a red light runner.
My dad was concussed and couldn't remember anything about the accident.
The other driver said that the suby had run the lights.
But.... thank god for witnesses!
B*stard.

Well, Lobus,
they were all out this morning. It must have been international "45 in 60 zone" day! Three seperate drivers in a row who'd exchanged their decision
making powers for a banana and a pack winny reds this morning.
Barls,
can't really help you there. Except to say, there are a number of companies who do plastic bumper repairs and often also do fibreglass too. Have a
look in the yellowpages. Or I could give you some spare matting and you could fix it yourself and have it sprayed for half the price.
Better still paint the whole car in red oxide and dump it into the weeds. Rat look 1302

i could fix it as i did do the one on chaos after the crash. i think its almost a rat now with 24 different shades of the same colour. the main reason
is i just dont have time at the moment with work being so hectic and not letting up. besides if hes paying why save him some money

Yes they do come out in the rain. The old man I spent two whole days working my my beetle, we take out the little blue guy for a run to the shops to
get something to eat and you wouldn't believe it, I almost got taken out twice. Once on the way there and on the way home by a cab.
And I wasn't speeding or driving all over the place. Just sitting there minding my own business.
They need to put stupid stickers on people's licence plates instead of the LPG ones they have. That way everyone would know to totally avoid the
numbskull.
