old colour photos of our 54

thanks to 1500S

Anzac Day in Sydney, 1963,

Elizabeth lookout, Glenbrook about 1961, looking over Penrith/EmuPlains, that is all houses now, & the lookout is no longer accessable by vehicle

& somewhere in the bush in Blue Mountains early 1965, note Grey 1956 rear guards & lights, original guards had rusted out, this was just before VW was traded on a new Mazda

I have never seen another roof rack exactly like ours

I have enearthed a stack of b/w photos of the car from 1955/1956, I will check what colour the semaphores were then

Great pics Kim - nice little archive collection. I don't think it's the Hawkesbury lookout - looks too low.

thanks, the wonderful thing is that these days pictures can now go around the world for sharing, & thus will survive, previously, over a few generations most were lost forever
Hawkesbury Lookout was lowere back then, it was a long time ago, & it is now at Wimalee, which did not exist back then, I will have to go up to both lookouts to try & determine
