Still VW but bigger?

Hey Guys,

Look i have a 61 bug (restoration project) with a terrible
engine in it 1200 im pretty sure (isn't original engine).
Just wondering how much trouble would it be to fit either a 1600 or 1800? My friend Had a 74 L-Bug that i liked the power of. Plus i have a book which says ur better off modding a 1600 or 1800 than a 1200.
So 1600 or 1800 and How hard to fit? (im fairly new to the whole vw engine thing) Any help would be muchly appreciated.
