Hi
Just thought that I would say that these motors are basically the same as a twin port 1600 and are generally in better condition because they are
lower stressed.
They have a smaller bore 77mm instead of 85.5 for the 1600 and the manifold end castings are slightly smaller where the rubber boot fits on, so the T
section is smaller as well.

What subrub are you in?
Is it possible to view the motor running in the existing car?
Have you done a compression test or are you open to doing one when the motor is viewed
