FS: 1966 beetle, 1835, twin kadrons (now with 18 photos)
We have for sale one 1966 beetle. It has a 1835cc engine, kadron carbs, ceramic coated Merged extractors with Phat Big Boy Stainless muffler, trigger
shifter, mags, wide fiberglass guards, billet aluminium bumpers, cal look rubbers, we have one peice door window kit not fitted. Roof rack recently
restored (powdercoated with new timber slats) New timber steering wheel, new tyres, honda bucket seats, custom dash. New peep revision mirrors.
The car is in pretty good nick, the paintwork is good, it is two pack. There is a tiny little rust in the car, the doors both have some rust in the
bottoms and there is a few bits in the floor that have been treated. In the exterior body though there appears to not be any except near passanger
side front dorr which i think is normal. It has a trigger shifter, 1853cc motor and twin Kadrons. The car passed a blue slip in July 2005. We bought
it from a guy who had it sitting in a shed for 6 years and we did the brakes, master cylinder and carbies etc and got it registered passed first
time.
It did have like the porsche body kit on it, front and rear bar and whale tail etc. We got rid of them and have been slowly changing it over. Because
of these changes in the rear guards there are a couple of drilled holes one on either side where the bar used to mount and a few scratches near
them.
It still has the widened fiberglass flares and the fronts have the upright headlights which are normally on later cars.
In the last six months we have bought the following accessories:
New billet bars and brackets $500
New ceramic coated exhaust and stainless steel muffler $550
4 brand new tyres $400
New steering wheel and boss kit $200
Late model honda bucket seats $250
We have not fitted one piece window kit and bailey channel $275 will go with the car
Roof Rack and restoration $200
New peep style mirrors $100
Engine lid $70 but needs painting still
New sun visors $80
Pioneer CD player and pioneer 6x9 speakers in boxes $350
The car we have been told is Ford Polynesian green?. The intererior is in good condition the headlining is black material almost looks like new, the
carpet is good (black), the door trims are grey with black flecks in good condition, the rear seat is still oringinal with black, orange and brown, we
have a seat cover on it. It has a custom black vinal dash with 4 extra guages but not all of them are hooked up.
The price is negotiable and depending on whether the stereo stays in it and if you want the roof rack etc.
NSW Rego till July 06.
Engine lid needs painting properly as it is only black at the moment.
$4500.00 ono
please phone 0414 260 896 or email Lisian@exemail.com.au
The car is located in Wollongong.
This photo shows a few crows feet in the paint from the fiberglass.
