Hey fellas, does anyone here have an opinion on whether it is wise/financially expedient/smart etc to ceramic coat wheels?
Thinkin it would be a nice look on a set of widened stock steel wheels on my 65 project.

Perhaps you're right. I was just thinking of a cheaper way to brighten up some stock looking wheels without all that chroming hassle.
What happens to it if it isnt polished.

If you ceramic coat wheels they will just look like you have used a cheap can of chrome spray.
Cheap and nasty.
Check out the sprinstar wheels someone was trying to sell on here, looked terrible.

The guy in guilford is competition coatings . I have used him once and the service was the worst I have seen . Not only did he continually lie about
having the goods finished , but he lost them for a week when they were sent to the incorrect customer . ( the complete turbo system for MANGO ) .
I then referred a customer to him and he lied to them for a further 2 weeks about having their goods ready , until the customer went to his workshop
and found that the goods were not even started . DO NOT GET BURNT !! AVOID THIS BLOKE .
It is much easier and cheaper to send the goods to HPC Victoria . I am an agent for them and turn-around is less than 2 weeks , normally 10-12 days .
call Wayne on 02-42725844 for delivery details and quality service .

what did they charge to coat your turbo headers, and is that how polished they are returned as I thought ceranic coating was a dull finish. any
pitures of your 60 Ghia? and the completed turbo setup?

I'll second this, Competition Coatings strung me along for a few weeks, till I went and saw him.
In the end he delivered my parts personally and didn't charge me.....
I won't be using him again and I'll be taking my business elsewhere . He's not worth the hassle!!
Cheers

I had the complete exhaust system coated including muffler , inlet manifold and end castings , exhaust housing on turbo , and the lot cost $600
including freight . You can see by the detail in the pics how shiny the ceramic coated surfaces are .
