WTB - 4th gear

Hi, as topic states, i need a 0.89 4th gear out of the 1500 gearbox. Unfortunately it has to be this exact gear!:thumb

Roll it down a hill next to a 1.04 gear and it should be slower

But seriosylt - one gear should have 27 teeth, and the other 24, from what ive been told

hehehehehehehehe!
Actually, you "can" use a .82 out of the 1200 kombi if you like Pringa.................but you wont!
0.89's come in any 40 horse "short" beetle and early T-3 boxes as well. You should find plenty at the tip.

Lohoon, Count the teeth on the big gear and the smaller gear, divide the number of the teeth on the big gear by the number of teeth on the small gear....voila!
Ratio!

Me thinks i may get into a bit of trouble with that one!:P

Thanks for the explanation too. Hopefully someone's got one. Mine keeps popping out of fourth under any load. I'm praying for a bent selector, but i'm looking for this as a back up plan.

You really need both gears so they match otherwise you might have a noisy ride
